Portugal is annually consumed by wildfires, specially in the summer.
2025 was no exception, with over 278.000 hectares burnt, that correspond to about 3% of the area of the entire country.
Over two days, I travelled to Ponte da Barca, in the district of Viana do Castelo, where I documented the ongoing crisis.
